Document Processing & Delivery Information in relation to partnered facilities
Confidential mail is protected by the attorney-client privilege in addition to several other considerations that are part of the TextBehind DOCS system and its processes, namely:
- All documents in the TextBehind system are encrypted at REST and in MOTION.
- TextBehind staff has no visibility of the files sent as Privileged Mail by attorneys and public officials. Any files sent as such, will become available to the controlling institution for processing under applicable privacy, legal and regulatory guidelines.
- Privileged Mail is accessed by the controlling institution's staff in the presence of your selected inmate recipient.
- After you submit privileged documents, the controlling institution will manage all matters related to legal mail processing.
- All uploaded documents will be adjusted (where necessary) to the US Letter size page.
- The controlling institution may use Paperless or Onsite Printing methods when delivering legal mail to the inmate. While it may not be possible for us to show the delivery method for your order, we will make every effort to update you if there are any issues with your order processing or delivery.
- The TextBehind MOVE code may be mandated by the controlling institution for Privileged Mail. If so, please download the MOVE code from the “My Account” page to print on the outside of your legal mail envelope.
- For your orders involving Privileged Mail, you can request the V.E.R. service (Video Evidence Recording) to verify that your confidential document(s) were processed in the presence of the recipient inmate. The V.E.R. service may not always be available due to certain reasons. In such a case, your additional cost paid for this service will be refunded automatically.
Document Processing & Delivery Information in relation to non-partnered facilities
Privileged mail service is not supported for non-partnered facilities at this time. However, you can send general documents. All your documents will - be printed and shipped by TextBehind using the USPS Ground method.
- All documents in the TextBehind system are encrypted at REST and in MOTION.
- TextBehind staff may access your documents during the production or quality assurance processes.
- All uploaded documents will be adjusted (where necessary) to the US Letter size page.
- Only the controlling correctional institution has control over the mail review and approval process.
- While TextBehind encourages sending educational, support and inspirational content to the incarcerated individuals, please note that various solicitation or junk contents are discouraged by the controlling institutions and may be rejected.

We are also open to large scale nationwide collaboration opportunities should you decided to utilize our mail and document processing, and other administrative services from anywhere in the world.
Limitations
Discount Credits:
The credits from Discount Deals purchased from any other TextBehind system cannot be used to pay for for orders while you are registered or logged in as an Organization, Attorney or Public Official. You must logout and login as a Family & Friend user to use credits.
